About the Artist
For the past eight years, I've worked as both a ceramic artist and tutor, sharing my passion for clay with students of all ages and abilities. I teach a range of hand-building techniques, including slab building, pinch pots, and coiling, with the aim of helping people build confidence and enjoy the creative process.
My own ceramics journey began with illustrative underglaze designs, which have evolved into my business, Walking Wild Co. Over the past six years, I've developed a collection of personalised and illustrated ceramics alongside bespoke commissions. I particularly enjoy teaching underglaze decorating techniques, encouraging students to experiment and develop their own creative style.
Although ceramics is my primary medium, I'm always excited to explore other creative outlets. I love picking up a paintbrush and working with acrylics, and you'll often find me attending workshops to learn new crafts and techniques. I believe there's always something new to discover as an artist.
History is one of my biggest sources of inspiration and often finds its way into my ceramic work. In my spare time, I enjoy mudlarking and visiting historic sites, uncovering stories, patterns, and objects from the past that influence the designs I create today.
